How much does the food cost?
Pre-packaged foods are available for $5 to $15. Prices may vary depending on vendor.
Cash is generally preferred. Select vendors will accept Venmo. Ticket booths will be available to provide vouchers in exchange for credit.
How do I get there?
The night market is located on Grant Ave between California St and Pacific Ave in downtown Chinatown.
Please visit the Muni website for public transportation timetables.
Two parking structures are open to the public for this event:
Portsmouth Sq Garage: $8 flat rate 5pm-1am
St Mary’s Square Parking: $5/hr 3-6pm; $3/hr 6pm-12am

Bubble Milk Tea (奶茶)
Taiwan’s beloved bubble milk tea (or boba) combines various tea, milk and syrup flavors topped off with sweetened tapioca pearls. Fruit teas are a popular variation.

Bao/Baozi (包子)
These steamed or baked buns are filled with anything you desire. Sweet buns typically contain milk, butter and often an eggwash. Fillings can range from any meat or vegetarian combo, as well as sweet custard and black sesame.

Zong (糉)/Zongzi (粽子)
Otherwise known as “sticky rice dumplings,” these treats are made up of glutinous rice, stuffed with savory pork, egg or sausage, wrapped in bamboo leaves. Sweet red bean paste is also popular.

The Vietnamese baguette contains a refreshing combo of various meats (usually pork or duck liver) with cucumber, cilantro, pickled carrots and white radish.

Dragon's Beard Candy (龍鬚糖)
Stop by Dragon Papa’s to watch 5th generation Derek Tan make the ever-popular Dragon’s Beard Candy. Melted sugar is pulled continuously until resembling thin floss, which is then wrapped around peanuts and other fillings.

Dumplings (餃子)
These dough pockets filled with popular combos, such as shrimp-chive and ground pork-cabbage are sure to fill you up. Dumplings come in a wide variety, from boiled wontons and fried gyoza to open faced siumai (燒賣), dipped in vinegar or soy sauce.

DJs are here to help you get a groove on. Live music is here whether you like karaoke or dancing. Check out the Asian Firefighters Association hanging out between Washington and Pacific as well.
